Reminds me of Easter...

So after being on a week or so nail hiatus I got tired of looking at my bare nails & decided to something with them.  For some reason I am obsessed with dots currently so I ended up doing dots again :)

I started out with a LA Colors base-top coat.  I then applied Sinful Colors Mint Apple as a base color and used NYC Taxi Yellow Creme and Sinful Colors Dream On for the dots (which I applied by using the round end of a paintbrush).  I finished up with another coat of the LA Colors base-top coat.  This manicure reminds me of easter but I love it!!

Girls day..complete with manicures!

So today Alisha & I decided to give ourselves manicures.  I got my idea from a fan photo that I saw on The Daily Nail's facebook.  I was originally going to do more than two colors but couldn't quite make up my mind so I just went with the two colors.  I started with a LA Colors base-top coat. Then I added french tips with LA Colors Bright Pink (which looks orange in the picture) and Avon Nail Metallics in chrome blue.  I then applied the silver stripes with Kiss Nail Art Paint in Silver and added the dots with Kiss Nail Art Paint in white.  I also applied a flower pattern that was part of the Kiss Nail Art stencils on my right thumb.  I finished up with a top coat by LA Colors, but, it didn't hold so I added a top coat by NYC (#271A).

After much consideration, Alisha decided to do something similar minus the dots.  She used LA Colors Bright Pink and Sinful Colors Professional Dream On for her tips (this color comes out very dull).  She also applied silver stripes using Kiss Nail Art Paint in Silver.  She finished up with LA Colors base-top coat.

Until next time...

Paint the town...and my toes (in dots!)

So, I got tired of having plain polish on my toes & decided to spice things up a bit :)
I started out with Sally Hansen Baby Doll as a base color and then applied the dots with Kiss Nail Art Paint in black (this came as part of a nail art kit set w/ stencils).  Some of the dots turned out less than perfect, but, it was my first attempt at this.
I must say, I have been wearing this polish for probably a week and it hasn't chipped yet!!

Until next time...

Allow me to introduce myself :)

Hey everyone! My name is Gloria and I have decided to start blogging about my nails / designs.  When I was younger I never really cared much for taking care of my nails & would bite them like crazy.  In the past few years I've been letting them grow & love painting / designing them.  I didn't really know about nail blogs until I accidentally stumbled upon The Daily Nail.  After going through and looking at every single design she has done (she is AMAZING btw) I discovered others.  And that lead me here.
